While gratefully acknowledging the liberal patronage his house has received from commercial gentlemen, agriculturists, and the public at large, since he has entered on the possession of the above old-established Hotel, takes this opportunity of assuring his patrons, that nothing shall be wanting on his part, to render every convenience and comfort to those who may favour him with their support.
The alterations and improvements recently made in the various departments, are such as have gained the approbation of gentlemen using the house; while due and prompt attention, civility, and the comforts of a domestic home, are rendered to the utmost for the accommodation of commercial gentlemen, travelling families, &c.
An excellently kept assortment of Carriages and Horses, for Posting and other purposes.

Grateful for the large share of public patronage bestowed upon him by his friends while at the Market Tavern, and since his commence at the Ship on Launch, now begs to inform the public that at the latter establishment will be found superior accommodation, genuine wines, superior liquors, and first-rate draught and bottled ales, porter, cider, &c., in proper season; while for the especial pleasure of those who feel that a little relaxation from business, in a well-conducted skittle-ground, is a stimulus to renewed application afterwards, he would respectfully offer an invitation to pay a visit to his alley, where every attention to comfort and convenience will be found.
