We believe the store on the left is David Embling confectioner, next is Mrs E. Dimond tobacconist and then W. J. Hollingdale grocer - Clarence Stores. If you click the 'zoom in' link you will see that there are posters for the Lyceum and Empire displayed in the confectioner's shop.

On the opposite side of the road is the 'Ivy Bush' run by Fred Porter advertising 'Phillips & Sons Noted Ales & Stout'. According to Johns' 1903 Directory the building to the right of the Ivy Bush is J. E. Mogford, pork butcher.
