Waterloo Road - Number 1

Chris Evans kindly sent us this photo. He told us: "This is the house my Grandfather built, 1, Waterloo Road Newport. Built before the war. It had a shop within it as my grandfather wanted my father to be a chemist which he never was. It became a cafe, managed by my family until we sold up and moved to Wolverhampton. It was bought by Jack Sergeant who was well known for his cafe/caravan a late night stop for clubbers. It became Jacks Caf, it is now converted to apartments."
