Sir J. Herbert Cory, Bart.

Cory, Sir J. Herbert, Bart. M.P., was born at Padstow, Cornwall. He has been identified with South Wales shipping interests for the whole of his business life, is deputy-lieutenant for Glamorgan, and a justice of the peace both for the city of Cardiff and the county. Has been a member of Parliament for Cardiff since 1915, and was High Sheriff of Glamorgan 1913-14. Is a director of John Cory & Sons Ltd. (of which his brother, Mr. John Cory, is chairman) the well-known shipowners, and who have been engaged in shipowning for four generations. Is chairman of Cory's Trading Ltd., and a director of the Cardiff Channel Dry Docks and Pontoon Co. Ltd. Address: Coryton, near Cardiff. Club: Carlton, St. Stephens, Constitutional.
