Football Buses Clarence Place September 1937

South Wales Argus, September 4th 1937:

"Newport's football buses scheme was tried out for the first time on Saturday, when buses carried spectators from Clarence Place to Somerton Park for Newport County's match with Exeter. Fourteen thousand people attended the match and considerable congestion was caused in the centre of the town."
