Frederick Pilkington Horden

Horden, Frederick Pilkington started his business career with the United Counties Bank in 1887, and after five years' management of the Leamington branch was in 1910 appointed manager of their branch in Newport, which position he has held ever since. The bank in 1916 amalgamated with Barclays Bank Limited, and Mr. Horden is today manager of the High street and Chepstow road branches of Barclays Bank. During the war he devoted a great deal of time to honorary work cognate to his profession with many of the funds then operating, amongst which may be mentioned his honorary treasurership of the Belgian Refugees' Committee, and his honorary treasurership of the Russian Red Cross.
