View eastward, on the ex-GW main lines towards Maindee Junctions/Hereford/Shrewsbury, Severn Tunnel Junction/Gloucester, etc./Swindon, etc./Bristol, etc. Running on the Down Through line, the class H train is headed by ex-WD 2-8-0 No. 90672 of Woodford Halse. Built as No. 79204 in 10/44 and shipped to France (Rouen) within a month; it returned to England in 1947 and was loaned to the LNER (Annesley) from 10/47 as 90672, remaining on the ex-GC/LNER until withdrawn in 5/64.
