Pathe News Description:
Title: "Newport Carnival 1924."
Various M/Ss, looking over the heads of a densely packed crowd, of a procession of spectacularly elaborate floats - one is decorated to look like Cleopatra's palace, complete with palm trees, others include firemen at the top of a 'burning' tower and a Romanesque temple with columns!

Commentary:
No Soundtrack.

Comment:
Filmed from High Street looking towards Westgate Square. Lovell's Toffee Rex floats. Nice view of trams surrounded by crowds after the last float passes.
