Chris Evans sent us this picture. He told us: "This photo shows my Grandmother's parents James and Sarah Pearce's Golden Wedding on March 8th 1909 outside the Waterloo Hotel in Newport. The menu consisted of Kidney soup, Cod and egg sauce, Sirloin of Beef and Leg of Mutton. Toasts included The King, Newport Pilots, Host and Hostess, Visitors and The press. Quite an event. My great grandfather was a Severn River Boat Pilot and ran his own pilot boat out of Newport."
Tracey Phillips contacted us to say: "This photo is of my mother's family, Pearce side. Her mother was Clarice Hetty Pearce who is sat right hand side of the photo. She became surname Wheatly and lived at 18 Millman Street. Her father was Tom Griffin Pearce. My mother was born 1/4/1923 Marion Gertrude Wheatly, her father worked at Baileys Dry Dock. I am also fortunate to still have an original picture."
